28mm Caesarian Roman Army

Finally wrapped up this army. Its a Caesarian Roman army. Figures are from Warlord Games. Shields are all decals from Warlord, except for the three Optios shields, which are from VVV.

The Army

Two units of Legionaries with gladius

Two units of Legionaries with pilum

Unit of Praetorian guard with the Emperor

Scorpion

A couple of officers

Optios

This was a pretty big project clocking in with over 100 figures. Almost all of them were plastic multi-part, which took a while to assemble. The decals for the shields were fiddly, so that also took more time to get them applied right.

It feels good to have this out of the way, and I like the way it came out.

Additional 28mm Shang Chinese

A catch-up post of the July and August express orders while I work on some bigger projects. These will add to a customer's existing Shang Chinese army.

I believe the figures are made by 1'st Corps.

More 28mm Greeks, Chariots, and Congo Figures

Here is a bit of a mix of figures I did for one of our customers. This expands on their collection adding some figures for their Congo games and more Trojan Wars stuff.

First up the Congo stuff. Some adventurers and natives:

Next a few leader types for the Mycenaens and Amazons:

And finally a couple of Mycenaen chariots:

December Express: Mycanaean Swordsmen and Chariot

A small batch of swordsmen and a chariot for the Mycenaean project took up the first December Express slot. The shields were all hand-painted.

The chariot was tricky. It didn't want to set level so the customer added another base and I built up the putty around it to blend it in. It was also tricky getting assembled since some sub-assembly needed to be done before to be able to reach spots for painting.
