28mm French and Indian War

Here's some more figures from Galloping Major Miniatures we did for Loyalhanna Outpost for their displays. It includes some Indians and provincials.

First up are some Iroquois. We did these up with a variety of warpaint with a few with no warpaint:

28mm Greek Gods

Here's a collection of 28mm Greek gods made by Wargames Foundry.

Allison decided to paint these up with a bit of color instead of the plain, clean white usually associated with all things Classical Greek .

A Couple of Warhammer 40K Items

A customer of ours picked these two pieces up cheap on Ebay and wanted us to spiff up the appearance of the bastion and paint the tank. Here's the results:

 


The bastion was painted either with some very rough grey auto primer or perhaps that GW texture paint they came out with a while back. I mulled over what to do with it and came to the conclusion it would be quicker and easier to re-prime the piece and start over.

I primed it black and used various metals to bring the color back up. This would match the other Grey Knights items he has. Then I picked out some details with some gold and gave them a wash. I think it came out a bit better than expected.

 

 The tank was assembled but not painted so it was much easier. He has a Grey Knights army so he wanted it done in the same metallic color to go with the other pieces he has. He's not a big fan of the white and red stripes they have on the studio paint jobs so I decided to leave them off of this piece.

I started by airbrushing the whole tank with bolt-gun metal from GW over a black primer. I took my time, working from the center of the panels to the edges, making sure there was more paint in the center of the panels and surfaces to give them the start of a highlight.

 

Next I drybrushed a highlight of P3's Cold Steel. Finally I picked out the other details such as the tracks, guns, view blocks, etc. A couple coats of clear finished the process.

28mm Judge Dread Gangs

These two Judge Dread gangs are another recently finished commission. The two gangs are the "Flock of Seagulls" and "The Pink Pantsies". These gangs are the start of several more for the customer's Judge Dread project.

The models are the Mongoose plastic kits. They are a bit fiddly and I found regular model glue doesn't work so well; the bond is fragile and easier to break than I like. Surprisingly, super glue seems to work pretty good. Some of the weapons are metal from Reaper's modern weapon sprues.

20mm WWII Japanese and US Marines

Here's some shots of some 20mm WWII Japanese and US Marines we did for a commission. The Japanese are from SHQ Miniatures and the US Marines are a mix of SHQ and FAA Miniatures.
