28mm French and Indian War Commission

Here's another commission from a bit ago of some French and Indian War figures. These were sent unbased to the customer as he wanted to do his own basing. You see them here on the sticks I use to hold them while I paint them.

This order had some French, English, and Huron Indians, if I recall correctly.

F&IW has been pretty popular for the last couple of years. Galloping Major's line of figures has been the bulk of the F&IW work that has come through the studio. They are nice figures, and make up the bulk of my collection, too.

Frostgrave Commission

It has been a while since our last update here. We are still very much in business. Time has been short to work on the blog though between a very busy work schedule and a 19 month old toddler!

To get things going again here is a commission from a little while back I did of a Frostgrave warband.

I went with some bright colors to offset the wintery basing. I rather like the effect.

The plastics have pretty good detail, especially for the first box set of the line. They can be tricky to paint and assemble, since there are multiple clothing layers and if you aren't careful when you assemble them, they figure may not make sense. For instance, an army may be missing a sleeve that it should have. So put some thought into choosing the parts when you assemble these and it will make the painting so much easier.
